Transparency and consistency in reporting deaths
Question
1. How will the Australian CDC ensure transparency and consistency in the classification and reporting of deaths during public health emergencies? Will it clearly distinguish between deaths caused by an infectious disease and deaths where an infectious disease was merely present? Will the underlying data be made available for independent analysis?
