Question

1. Please outline the Department's involvement in the development of the National Parkinson's Action Plan? 2. How is the department providing support or advice to the National Parkinsons Alliance on the implementation of the priorities in the NPAP? 3. Can the Minister confirm whether the 2026-27 Budget includes any operational funding for implementation of the National Parkinson's Action Plan?'' i. If no dedicated funding was provided, what alternative support is available for implementation?'' 4. Does the government still support the priorities of the NPAP? i. If yes, then how do you expect them to implement the plan's objectives without funding? ii. Are there any alternative sources of funding available? iii. What support is the department or your office doing to support NPA in the implementation of this plan? 5. Is the NPA required to provide updates to the Department on the implementation and progress of the plan? Why/why not? 6. How will the plan be monitored for its progress? 7. Does the Government recognise the NPAP as the foremost action plan to support improved health outcomes and policy for Parkinsons patients, noting there are multiple other national plans and frameworks?
