Question

Senator RUSTON: The thing that's concerning me a little bit about what you're saying is that we're two years on from the formation of this panel, 10 meetings later, and we still don't appear to have any formal advice from this group in relation to the very reason why the minister said that the group was going to be established. Ms Stangel: I think it's fair to say that we've had ongoing internal advice through the panel meetings that have supported practice and process internally. In terms of formal advice back through to the minister or to the CEO, that is where we're at, at the moment, but there have been a lot of practice improvements and a lot of internal processes changes from some of the recommendations through the panel advisory. Senator RUSTON: Is that internal advice able to be provided? I expect you'll probably take that on notice to seek advice- Ms Stangel: I will take that on notice. Senator RUSTON: but, if that internal advice from that committee in relation to how they have recommended these issues be addressed could be provided, that would be really useful.
