Question

Senator STEELE-JOHN: That's fine. Mr Porter, just so that I can get an overall idea, what was the official number? Mr Porter: It was 9,840. Senator STEELE-JOHN: Of that number, how many are planners? Mr Porter: I don't have the numbers for next financial year. We're happy to take that on notice and provide it to you when we've set our budget allocations. Senator STEELE-JOHN: Alright, but for the financial year that we've just concluded? Mr Porter: Bear with me a moment and I'll find the data. Senator STEELE-JOHN: Yes, no worries. Mr Porter: As at March 2026, we've got 3,608 planners who work across our regional service delivery group and some of our specialist mainstream scheme interface teams-aged care and hospitals, complex support needs, home and living planning, national early childhood, and participant safeguarding. Senator STEELE-JOHN: Right; so the total is 3,608? Mr Porter: That is correct. That is in addition to a range of other specialist service delivery functions and NCC. I'll provide you with those figures on notice.
