NDIA Decision-Making and Safeguards 1. Under what circumstances can the NDIA reduce or remove essential supports (including personal care, mobility, and continence supports) without evidence of changed participant circumstances? 2. Does the NDIA require a clinical risk assessment prior to removing or significantly reducing supports that are critical to a participant's safety or survival? If not, why not? 4. Why do funding reductions take effect immediately, even where participant needs are unchanged and risks to safety are evident?
