Question

Senator Ruston [... ] In February, I understand, an update was sought on travel expenditure. Again, your response referred back to the website, and once again those details were only up until September 2025. It appears as if there's been an update. What is your internal requirement in terms of updating information? We got these responses back post February, and when we went to the website all of the information that we'd requested wasn't there. It is now. What are your time requirements? Mr Lye: We'll check. I think it is important to say we're not trying to be unhelpful to you. Senator RUSTON: I certainly wasn't accusing you of that either. Mr Lye: I think we're trying to make you aware that we are being quite transparent. It is available on the website, but we'll check the timing issue. I'll take you at your word that you've gone to look. It might not have been updated. Senator RUSTON: I suppose you can understand the frustration in the office of the shadow minister who was seeking for us to secure this information. When they looked at the responses to the questions on notice, it said, 'Please refer here,' and when they got there it was information they already had. Mr Lye: It might be that it came from last estimates. We update for 31 March as a particular interval, and that's when that goes up, but we'll make sure we check. We can always, in questions on notice, give you that timing so that we're not annoying you. Senator RUSTON: Yes. If this was the end of February and if you don't actually update your December quarter until- Mr Lye: We don't want to give you your questions on notice overly late, either, because we don't want to annoy you in that way! Senator RUSTON: Wish! Mr Lye: But we'll have a look at the time. I understand the issue that you're raising.
