Question

Senator NAMPIJINPA PRICE: Non-lodgement of tax returns is one of the things that I and my colleagues hear about a lot when it comes to child support and outstanding debts. How many parents engaged in the child support system are recorded as not having lodged their tax return? Ms Power: Services Australia makes around 150,000 referrals a year to the ATO for child support parents for non-lodgement of tax returns. Senator NAMPIJINPA PRICE: Can you please tell us how many of those would be for a single financial year, two financial years, three years and so on. That might have to be taken on notice. Ms Power: That one will need to be taken on notice. We're happy to do so.
