Question

Senator ASKEW: Do you have the data for how many people accessed it more than once in 12 months: twice, three times, four times? Do you have that broken down at all? Mr Flavel: We'd have to take that on notice. Senator ASKEW: If you could take that on notice, that would be great. What about the reasons for accessing the payments? Do you have that data? Is it primarily for family and domestic violence? Mr Flavel: It's primarily release from prison, followed by family and domestic violence. Senator ASKEW: So they're the key ones. Have you got the data? Would you be able to provide us the stats on that? Mr Flavel: We can provide that. Senator ASKEW: That would be great. How many people access the payment under the clause of having entered Australia for the first time on a visa subclass 200, 201, 202, 203 or 204? Mr Flavel: The data I've got is for people entering under humanitarian entrant. As you know, it is tied to individual visa types. So I think I'll take that on notice to make sure I'm giving you the right data for the visa types you've alluded to there. Senator ASKEW: If we could have that as a breakdown for each of those, that would be great.
