Senator RUSTON: How many times has the department met with the ATSI advisory council to discuss this project? Ms Lutz: I would need to take that on notice. They were meeting very regularly-at least every quarter. Through the development of those grants, we had a dedicated working group. I would need to take on notice how often that working group-and then they supported the programs. We can come back to you. There were four priority program grants done at the same time. Senator RUSTON: I would also be interested to know when they first met. Ms Lutz: Yes. Senator RUSTON: And the formal arrangements under which the council was established would be helpful. The project announced in 2023-the whole project in terms of its finalisation is not expected until June 2028. Is that correct? Ms McKenzie: Sorry-specific to the community led data projects? Senator RUSTON: Yes. Ms Lutz: I would need to confirm that on notice. My understanding is it's 2027, but I will confirm on notice. Senator RUSTON: Nonetheless, it seems like a long time, but I do understand that you do need to consult with Indigenous communities in delivering this. I'd be interested to understand, if it was four or five years, why it took that long. I'd also be interested in how much funding has been allocated to the project during that time.
