Question

On the spill at the Wandoo facility off Karratha on 11 December 2025: 1.When did NOPSEMA become aware of the spill? 2.What environmental impact does NOPSEMA believe the spill has had in the area? 3.How much oil was spilt as a result of the 11 December incident? 4.Why did it take an oil spill to pause export from Wandoo, given an October 2025 environmental assessment found ''repeated non-compliance'' and ''inadequate implementation of inspection, maintenance, and assurance processes''? 5.Does NOPSEMA accept that their inaction following the October 2025 assessment allowed the December oil spill to take place? 6.It was reported that Wandoo will be blocked from exporting gas until NOPSEMA receives assurances that ''appropriate interim controls'' were in place. What progress has been made at Wandoo since December?
