Question

The Anti-Dumping Commission, within the Industry portfolio, administers Australia's anti-dumping and countervailing system. Domestic fabricators have reported imported fabricated steel arriving at prices 30 to 40 per cent below domestic fabrication costs, and in some cases at or below the cost of the raw steel plate required to fabricate the same product in Australia. a. Are there any anti-dumping or countervailing measures currently in force on fabricated structural steel, wind towers or related products under tariff heading 7308? b. Has the Anti-Dumping Commission received, or is it currently investigating, any application concerning fabricated structural steel or wind tower imports? c. Where a fully fabricated imported product is offered at or below the landed cost of the raw steel input alone, what does the Department or the Commission consider that indicates, and has it been examined?
