Question

1. Defence capability is one of the National Reconstruction Fund's seven priority areas. a. Provide a breakdown of all NRF investments in the defence capability priority area to date, by recipient, purpose, value, investment type (for example equity or loan), scope, and the date each investment was selected or approved. b. What proportion of the NRF's total investments or commitments to date has gone to the defence capability priority area? 2. Are investments in the defence capability priority area assessed against the same rate-of-return requirement as the NRF's general portfolio? If a different benchmark applies, what is it, and why? 3. Is there any requirement for recipients of investment in the defence capability priority area to meet an Australian ownership threshold, beyond holding a registered Australian Business Number (ABN)? If so, what is the threshold? If not, why not? 4. Are recipients of investment in the defence capability priority area required to hold membership of the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP)? If membership is not required, what assessment is made of a recipient's ownership, control, and ability to meet defence security requirements before an investment is approved?
