''1. What risks arise if Australia becomes dependent on Northern Hemisphere climate models that are not developed specifically for Australian conditions? 2. Has CSIRO undertaken a risk assessment of its ability to deliver future CMIP contributions? 3. Has CSIRO informed the Commonwealth or NESP that workforce reductions may affect delivery of CMIP-related commitments? 4. If CSIRO is unable to meet future CMIP requirements, what would be the consequences for Australia's participation in future IPCC assessment processes? 5. When was the last time CSIRO assessed the workforce required to participate fully in a future CMIP exercise? 6. Has CSIRO formally discussed transferring climate model development responsibilities to ACCESS-NRI? 7. Has any funding been allocated to another organisation to assume those responsibilities? 8. What is CSIRO's long-term plan for maintaining Australia's capability to develop world-leading climate models?''
