AASB/AUASB - AO appointment and AI transparency timelines

1. In response to a series of questions on notice relating to Accountable Officials (AOs) under the Policy for the responsible use of AI in government with portfolio question number SBE497, the agencies responded 'Yes, the Managing Director was appointed by the 30 [sic] Nov 24.' in answer to the question 'Did the agency/department appoint an AO by 30 November 2024?'. In documents tabled in response to order for the production of documents no. 285 (on page 3), an email from a Digital Transformation Agency official notes that the agencies had not appointed an AO as at 18 February 2025. In response to AE2025-26 question SQ26-000036, the agency maintained that it had appointed an AO by the deadline. a. For the third time, on what date did the agency appoint an AO? (The answer to this question is a specific date, not 'before 30 November 2024'). 2. DTA's 24 March 2025 weekly update noted that ''The 2 [outstanding] Accountable Officials are associated with the Australian Accounting Standards Board and Auditing and Assurance Standards Board within the Treasury portfolio. Further avenues for escalation are being investigated following numerous attempts to contact both boards.'' a. Did the boards determine which email DTA originally wrote to? Was that email not in use? b. When did the agencies become aware of their obligations under the policy for the responsible use of AI in government? c. When did the agencies begin work on: d. Appointing an AO? e. Developing an AI transparency statement? f. When were each of the above completed? 3. Also in that answer, the agencies said that their AI transparency statement was ''delayed due to resource constraints.'' a. How many people work at each agency?
