Question

Senator McKIM: Back to the ATO, how much cash, if any, has the ATO handed back to which companies for which projects and over what timeframes? Mr Hirschhorn: To expand on Dr Johnson's answer to the previous question, the ATO of course has information on what has happened, whereas we do not do projections of the life cycle of projects. Again, I have referred in the past to the Callaghan review being probably the most complete projection of projects. We do disclose, each year, under the corporate tax transparency measure, the PRRT paid by companies. I'll put a caveat on it and take it on notice, but I think that would also disclose if we gave cash refunds. So to the best of my knowledge at the table-although, I will take it on notice-I do not think we have paid any project a cash refund to date.
