ATO - Foreign investment housing policy expenditure

Question

In response to OPD 315, the Minister for Housing tabled documents relating to the ban on the purchase of established dwellings by foreign investors. A document on the last page of the response indicates that $5.7 million was allocated for the introduction of this change, but only $500,000 had been spent. 1. On what date did expenditure of this allocation reach $500,000? 2. What is the expenditure of this allocation, to date? 3. Does the Treasury expect to use all of this allocation? If not, why not?
