Question

Senator BARBARA POCOCK: Have you made a decision about whether you'll sign any further contracts with KPMG? Ms Di Marco: We only received this advice last night. There's work being done through the Department of Finance. I think we've got to take this under advice and under consideration. But, again, none of the services KPMG provide to us relate to audit. Of the four contracts, three of them relate to financial tools which we then use as part of preparing our statements. No services are attached to those. Senator BARBARA POCOCK: Ironically, KPMG offers a service for whistleblowers. The major banks are users and the Reserve Bank has been a user of their FairCall service. It's an extreme irony that in their public misdemeanours for internal inquiries massive pursuit penalties are paid by the whistleblower in this case. Have you had any engagement in relation to KPMG's whistleblowing provisions? Ms Di Marco: I'd have to take that on notice.
