Question

1. Given the evidence provided by Treasury officials during the Economics Committee hearing on 3 June, what responsibility does the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts maintain over the National Urban Policy (NUP) framework? 2. Does Minister King maintain Ministerial responsibility over the NUP given that it was produced by her department at the time? 3. If cities policy has been transferred to Treasury, yet treasury takes no ownership over the NUP, who in the government has oversight over the continued implementation of the NUP? 4. If Cities policy and planning reform remains a priority for the Albanese Government, will there be an updated National Urban Policy Framework reflecting recent government announcements and policy changes?
