In response to portfolio question number SBE497 of the SBE25-26 Treasury hearings, the NCC gave evidence that it failed to meet the deadlines for appointing an AO and publishing an AI transparency statement because it was '[u]naware of [the] deadline' for publishing an AI transparency statement and that it was '[u]naware of requirement to appoint an AO'. 1. Does the evidence that the NCC was '[u]naware of [the] deadline' for publishing an AI transparency statement mean the agency was unaware of the policy for the responsible use of AI in government at that time? 2. Does the evidence that the NCC was '[u]naware of requirement to appoint an AO' mean the agency was unaware of the policy for the responsible use of AI in government at that time? On what date did the NCC: 3. become aware of the policy for the responsible use of AI in government? 4. become aware it had obligations under the policy? begin work on: 5. publishing an AI transparency statement? 6. appointing an AO? 7. publish an AI transparency statement? 8. appoint an AO? 9. When was the NCC first contacted by the Digital Transformation Agency about the policy? 10. Provide all correspondence between DTA and the NCC regarding the policy. 11.
