National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS)

Question

1. What changes is the Department implementing in response to the ANAO's audit of the Department of Education's administration of the NCRIS? Have there been, or will there be, any changes to staffing (FTE) allocated to support NCRIS administration? 2. The ANAO report indicates staffing allocations effectively halved from 2022-23 (18.47 FTE) to 2025-26 (9.96). How many FTE staff are currently allocated to support: a. NCRIS administration? b. the development of the 2026 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap? 3. Can you provide figures on how these staffing allocations have changed over the previous 5 years? (i.e. 2017-18; 2018-19; 2019-20; 2020-21; 2021-22)
