1. Can the Department provide a detailed overview of how artificial intelligence has been used, prior to the publication of the AI Plan for the Australian Public Service 2025? a. What governance structures were in place to oversee the Department's use of AI tools? 2. Has the Department appointed an SES-level Chief AI Officer, as required under the AI Plan for the APS 2025? a. If not, what is the timeline for the appointment to the role? b. Can the Department advise of the renumeration for the position. 3. Have the Department's public servants begun to undertake foundational AI training as per the requirements of the AI Plan 2025? a. If not, what is the Department's projected timeline to ensure that training has been completed? b. If yes, what is the proportion of Department staff that have completed the training?
