1. How much of the broader $226 million safety reform package has been allocated to the national CCTV assessment? 2. Can the Department provide a breakdown of the $15 million in participation funding available to small and medium providers? a. Is there a specific amount set aside for each provider type? b. How many small and medium providers applied to participate in the assessment? 3. What is the total value of the contracts awarded to the Nous Group for the design and delivery of the assessment? 4. What is the value of the contract awarded to KPMG for its independent evaluation? 5. Can the Department provide a list of the 300 services participating nationally, by state, territory, and location (e.g. metropolitan, regional or rural)? a. If yes, can the Department also specify the provider-type (e.g. small, medium or large). 6. What criteria was used to select which services moved into the active data collection period from April to June 2026? 7. The assessment is "on track" to report to Education Ministers in October 2026. What are the key milestones the Department must hit between the end of data collection in June and the final report? 8. When can the sector expect the nationally consistent best practice guidelines regarding footage retention, data storage, and privacy to be publicly released? 9. Has the Minister/Department explored the use of victim identification or AI-enhanced analysis on CCTV footage to assist law enforcement? a. If yes, is this a component of the assessment? b. What ethical or legal guidelines are being considered regarding the potential future use of AI or facial recognition in ECEC settings?
