Question

Senator O'SULLIVAN: My question was: have you done any modelling on the out-of-pocket costs? It's law now. Extra wages have to be paid by the providers, so it's not like they can just revert back to previous- Mr Reed: The budget papers and the forward estimates have modelling of the impact of the worker retention payment ceasing and the Fair Work Commission's decision, flowing through. So, in that sense, there is some modelling in the budget paper- Senator O'SULLIVAN: That's the cost to the Commonwealth. Mr Reed: That's right-through increased fees, based on the Fair Work Commission's wage decision. The CCS outlays in the budget papers factor in the Fair Work Commission's decision. Senator O'SULLIVAN: I'm talking about out-of-pocket costs for families. Mr Reed: I'd have to take that on notice-whether we've modelled out-of-pocket costs.
