Comcare, on behalf of the Authority, responded to SQ26-000006 for AE25-26. The questions related to the policy for the responsible use of AI in government. When asked why the Authority failed to publish an AI transparency statement, the answer provided was ''The Seafarers Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Authority (Seacare Authority) AI transparency statement is available at: Seacare Authority's AI Transparency Statement | Seafarers Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Authority (Seacare Authority).'', where the statement was hyperlinked to. This is not an acceptable answer and demonstrates a disdain for the Senate's role as a house of review. 1. Why did Comcare fail to answer this question?
