Question

1. Given that trade-offs between energy production and ecological outcomes are central to decision-making in the review of the Snowy Water Inquiry Outcomes Implementation Deed (SWIOID), what modelling has been undertaken to inform the review - specifically, what models have been used and which modellers have been involved in undertaking: o Hydrological modelling o Ecological modelling o Economic modelling o Modelling of tradeoffs between the National Energy Market, Snowy Hydro Ltd, ecological health and any other considerations? 2. The SWIOID review process includes three Advisory groups that will inform the Independent Review Panel's recommendations. To inform their discussions and advice, of the modelling undertaken to inform the review, what modelling outputs have been provided to: o The Intergovernmental Review Consultation Group o The First Nations Advisory Group o The Stakeholder Advisory Group? 3. Assuming the First Nations Advisory Group and the Stakeholder Advisory Group recommend increased flows into the Upper Murrumbidgee, what does the modelling indicate are the likely effects of suggested levels of increased environmental flows for: o River health, including expected changes and time needed for river recovery o Access to water entitlements for irrigators in the Upper Murrumbidgee o Water availability for downstream irrigators o The National Energy Market and Snowy Hydro Ltd?
