1. Does DCCEEW have any current or contingent Commonwealth funding exposure in relation to the cancelled Fortescue Gladstone hydrogen project. If yes, please state the amount and the relevant program? 2. Has DCCEEW been advised whether any funding provided to Fortescue for the Gladstone hydrogen project has been repaid. If yes, please state the amount repaid and the date of repayment? 3. If Commonwealth funding has not been repaid in full, what steps has DCCEEW taken, or what advice has DCCEEW provided, in relation to recovery of those funds? 4. What safeguards apply under DCCEEW-administered hydrogen or clean energy programs, or programs administered by ARENA on behalf of the Government, to protect funds where a supported project is delayed, cancelled or discontinued? 5. Following the 2026-27 Budget decisions affecting hydrogen and clean energy programs, how does DCCEEW determine which hydrogen projects continue to receive support? 6. What criteria are used to determine which projects receive support under Hydrogen Headstart and other ARENA-administered hydrogen funding programs? 7. What level of Commonwealth funding exposure remains in relation to shortlisted Hydrogen Headstart Round 2 projects? 8. What safeguards, conditions or due diligence requirements apply to shortlisted projects before any final Commonwealth funding commitment is made?
