Question

1. Has a draft of the Improved Native Forest Management in Multiple-use Public Native Forests (INFM) method proposed by the NSW Government been referred to the Minister by the Emissions Reduction Assurance Committee (ERAC)? a. If so, when was the method referred to the Minister? i. Was the method referred to the Minister the same as the exposure draft publicly released by the Department on 4 December 2025, or had substantive amendments been made to it? ii. Has the Minister made any amendments to the method referred to him by ERAC, or does he intend to? iii. When will the method, as amended and/or accepted by the Minister, be made public? iv. Has the Minister commenced legislative drafting of the method? v. When does the Government intend to introduce an INFM instrument into the Parliament? b. If not, what is the status of the INFM method, and who is it with?
