Culling of 20,000 native birds at Newcastle Waters Cattle station

Media reported that the NT Parks and Wildlife granted a permit to Newcastle Waters Cattle Station to cull 20,000 native birds. The station's parent company, Consolidated Pastoral Company, has since confirmed the culling will not go ahead. (a) Was the Department aware of this permit, and is the permit still in place? (b) Are there similar permits on pastoral land, where landowners are permitted to cull native animals? (c) If so, please supply a list of pastoral landholders who have been granted a permit to cull native animals
