Question

The Baseline Diversion Limit has increased since the Basin Plan was established, resulting in corresponding increases to SDLs. 1. How does the MDBA ensure SDLs continue to represent an environmentally sustainable level of take in light of these changes? 2. What measures are in place to maintain a consistent and credible baseline for assessing progress over time? 3. Will the platform be used to model higher-ambition environmental flow scenarios beyond the current Basin Plan settings, and if so, what types of scenarios are proposed (for example additional water recovery, different constraints, or climate-adjusted flow regimes)?
