Question

1. How many Licensed Post Offices ceased operation in each of FY23, FY24 and FY25 - whether through a) licence termination, or b) surrender or non-renewal? 2. How many further LPO closures does Australia Post forecast across FY26 and FY27? 3. Can Australia Post advise where it is up to in its consideration of requests that it remove restrictions on licensees offering 'last mile' parcel lodgement or collection services on behalf of any carrier other than Australia Post. 4. Has this matter been considered by the Board, and what timeframe applies to a decision? 5. Has Treasury, in consultation with Australia Post, examined this measure as part of the Government's productivity agenda: if so, what was Treasury's view? 6. Does Australia Post keep documentation of Licensed Post Offices that may be at risk of closure in the future and/or that are resulting in losses for Australia Post and/or are seen as unviable? Please provide this information. 7. What procedures or processes does Australia Post have with respect to working with Licensed Post Offices to help them remain viable and keep their doors open? 8. What are the indicators that Australia Post uses to determine viability of post offices or Licensed Post Offices?
