Question

1. The Triple Zero Custodian recently told this committee that 14.8 million calls were made to the ECP while only 11.7 million calls were answered by the ECP. The Custodian said that 3.1 million call differences largely consisted of accidental or test calls. Please provide a detailed breakdown of the 3.1 million difference between these two figures. 2. Telstra said that it does not have any data of Triple Zero calls that failed on another network before reaching the termination point for Emergency Call Person. Please outline the Department's powers in requesting this data from all providers and provide copies of all responses the Department has gained access to, to date. 3. There is currently no data on the amount of Triple Zero calls that cannot be initiated due to a lack of coverage.
