Question

The ACMA are publicly advertising two full time statutory positions on the authority. They appear to be focussing on public safety and consumer interests. 1. On 18 March the Minister announced the appointment of a full-time authority member to oversee public safety and Triple Zero, which appears to be one of these roles. The other role appears to be more consumer focussed - is that correct? 2. How does the ACMA see these roles operating, and what benefits does the ACMA see these roles bringing to the existing operations of the authority? 3. When does the ACMA aim to have these roles filled?
