1. The Customer Service Guarantee (CSG) allows telecommunication providers to require customers to waive their CSG rights. In practice, CSG waivers have been commonplace and have limited the protection available to consumers.? a. How many CSG services are provided in Australia?? b. How many services are eligible for the CSG but subject to a CSG waiver?? 2. The Department has consulted on extending the CSG standard twice, in 2023 and most recently in 2026.? a. Will the Department commit to a timeframe for modernising the USO?? b. How long will the Department leave consumers without appropriate, fit-for purpose consumer protections??
