Support provided by PWSS
Question
These questions relate to the type of support provided by PWSS to a Commonwealth parliamentary worker who reports a workplace-related assault, either informally or formally, to PWSS: 1. What is the protocol when a Commonwealth parliamentary worker informs PWSS of a workplace-related incident of sexual and/or physical assault? 2. What arrangements, if any, does the PWSS have in place to assist workers who wish to report incidents of sexual assault and/or physical assault to the police, whether in Canberra or another jurisdiction? 3. Has a PWSS officer ever accompanied a Commonwealth parliamentary worker who has reported a sexual and/or physical assault to a police station? Or to talk with the AFP, the ACT police, or authorities in another jurisdiction? If yes, how many times has this occurred? 4. Is there a PWSS policy on this? If so, when was it introduced? Is it a consistent policy or has it changed at any point?
