Question

Senator Canavan: ... I'll try and get through this quickly- I'm told there were previously 32 locations mentioned for TradeStart, but this budget's PBS refers to only 30 locations. Has there been a reduction? Dr Grimes: I'll see if we've got an officer who might be able to answer that level of detail. Mr Verspuy may be able to assist you with that number. Senator Canavan: Last year's PBS says the TradeStart network was 'in 32 locations across Australia'. This one, on pages 77 to 78, has effectively the same sentence but says 'in 30 locations'. Mr Verspuy: In terms of our TradeStart network, there's been no reduction in the total number of TradeStart advisors across the network. Senator Canavan: So what accounts-I've got the particular extracts in front of me. Last year's PBS, on page 78, says there were 32 locations; this year's says 30. Mr Verspuy: We'd need to take that on notice and come back to you. Senator Canavan: Okay. I was going to ask you where were they closed, but okay; we'll wait for the answers on that one to explain that discrepancy. Just for the record, that was from PBS 2025-26, table 1.1, page 78, and this year's PBS, pages 77 to 78.
