Question

(a) Since the outbreak of the Middle East conflict in late February 2026, how many times has Tourism Australia met directly with the Minister for Trade and Tourism? i. Please provide the date, location, attendees and purpose of each meeting. (b) How often does Tourism Australia provide formal written briefs to the Minister? i. Please provide the dates and titles of all written briefs provided to the Minister since 1 February 2026. (c) Has Tourism Australia briefed the Minister specifically on the impact of fuel and aviation disruption on regional tourism? (d) Has Tourism Australia briefed the Minister specifically on the effect of the PMC increase? (e) Has Tourism Australia briefed the Minister specifically on the impact of Middle East conflict on forward bookings? (f) When asked about the impacts of the Middle East conflict on Australian tourism, the Managing Director said that there was no data beyond March 2026. When does Tourism Australia expect to receive relevant updated travel data on international markets, which may provide an insight into the impacts of the Middle East conflict on the tourism sector? (g) Has Tourism Australia briefed the Minister specifically on the effect of the Budget reduction on Tourism Australia activity? (h) Has Tourism Australia advised Government that additional marketing or aviation support is needed to address weaker forward bookings? (i) Has Tourism Australia provided any options to the Minister for additional support to the tourism industry since 1 February 2026?
