Question

At Senate Estimates on 5 June 2026, the Managing Director of Tourism Australia stated that "...since the Middle East conflict started, we have a fortnightly catch-up with myself and the CEOs of every state and territory...". Can Tourism Australia confirm: (a) How many of these meetings have occurred since 28 February 2026? (b) Which tourism bodies/organisations/agencies have attended these meetings? (c) Is the purpose of these meetings to gain detailed insights into the impact of the current Middle East conflict on the Australian domestic and international tourism industries across the jurisdictions? (d) Did these meetings occur before the commencement of the current Middle East conflict on 28 February 2026?
