Federal Court contract and its scope

Question

On 30 April 2026 the Federal Court entered into a contract with Nous Group described as "Court Recording and Transcription Services Program Management Support". Can the Court confirm the total value of this contract, the agreed term, and whether there are any options to extend? What specific deliverables is Nous Group engaged to produce under this contract, and will the Court provide the statement of work or contract scope? Does this engagement involve Nous advising the Court on how its recording and transcription services should be designed, delivered, or procured in future? If so, can the Court explain why that design and decision-making work is being conducted by an external consultancy rather than by Court officers or the Australian public service?
