AHRC report submissions
Question
1. The AHRC report makes 19 recommendations to governments, including to "end pauses on puberty suppressants." It drew on 97 submissions, which remain unpublished. 2. When will the submissions be published? 3. How can governments and parliament properly assess your recommendations, including calls to end medical pauses and change healthcare policy for children, without access to the evidentiary basis? 4. Does releasing this report before publishing the submissions and before the NHMRC reports suggest the Commission was seeking to influence the NHMRC review process rather than defer to it? 5. Is withholding submissions while demanding government action on medical treatment for children disrespectful to parliament, to this committee, and to democratic accountability?
