Question

1. The UK Free Trade Agreement has now been in force for 3 years. Can you please advise whether the Joint Working Group on Animal Welfare has been established and how many times it has met? 2. On 24 April 2026, dairy cattle were exported by ship from Australia for arrival in Turkey on 27 May 2026 with significant risk of heat stress and the uncertainty of an unstable global security situation. What is the Department doing to manage these risks? a) Why won't the Department consider including breeder cattle under the Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS)?
