Question

The Environmental Biosecurity Project fund has remained flat at $850,000. Given the significant inflationary pressures and rising operational costs over the last couple of years, maintaining the exact same dollar figure represents a real-terms funding cut. Can the department explain how it expects to deliver the same level of environmental biosecurity protection with diminished purchasing power?
