Dairy and cheese imports

Question

Please provide: a) DAFF's assessment of the impact of removing tariffs on EU cheese imports. b) Any analysis of EU subsidies to dairy or cheese producers and how those subsidies affect Australian competitiveness. c) The date/s any advice was provided to the Minister on whether tariff removal would expose Australian cheesemakers to subsidised European competition or whether adjustment assistance may be required for Australian dairy processors or farmers. d) Will DAFF monitor EU cheese import volumes following commencement of the agreement. e) Is DAFF aware of any safeguard or snapback mechanisms that would be available if EU imports materially harm Australian dairy producers.
