Question

1. In relation to the Kununurra runway extension the runway is scheduled to be completed in July 2026. Has the Department been advised that there is no change to this and that it is still on track for completion in July? 2. What proportion of the workforce on this project has been sourced locally, including Indigenous employment? 3. Have there been any changes to the original scope-particularly regarding apron upgrades, taxiways, or lighting infrastructure? 4. Given the unique challenges of the East Kimberley, including wet season constraints, has the project experienced any weather-related delays to date? 5. Has the Department had any discussions with the Shire or industry to develop the airport as a freight hub, particularly for agricultural exports from the East Kimberley?
