Investments, partnerships and links

Question

Senator FARUQI: Sure. At last estimates I asked whether ANU has any partnerships, investments or links with any weapons, tobacco, fossil fuel and gambling companies. We did receive an answer; I think it was yesterday or day before yesterday. The answer states that ANU has almost $5 million in holdings in weapons companies. But this was only your top-10 holdings. I did ask for all, not just the top 10. I'm wondering why only the top 10 were provided to me and not all. Prof. Brown: I'm actually not sure why we had provided that and not all. I'm not sure whether it is related to our screen or not, but we can go back and look at that. Senator FARUQI: That'd be really good because I'd appreciate all, which is what the question asked for. Prof. Brown: Okay. Senator FARUQI: I am assuming that, for the companies that were not on the list, you wouldn't know who they were at this point or what value of investments they had. Prof. Brown: That's correct. Senator FARUQI: Okay. Please take that on notice. Prof. Brown: Yes.
