Student bursary

Senator KOVACIC: Thank you. I understand what the role is. Could you tell me when the decision was made around the $5,000 bursary? Prof. Leach: I don't know the exact date. I'll have to take that on notice. Senator KOVACIC: Can you provide it on notice? Do we know whether it was before or after the council members with financial expertise resigned? Prof. Brown: I'm fairly certain it was before that. It was part of an overall strategy to support students. It had gone through university exec. It had gone through a number of internal processes and checks and balances. Senator KOVACIC: When was the decision made to send the email out to those students, to confirm? If you could provide that on notice. Prof. Leach: I'll have to take that on notice.
