4. When asked during AE2025-26 (ACIAR question 1) to explain why it had not published an AI transparency statement by the deadline, ACIAR responded "ACIAR's AI Transparency Statement was published March 2025, following a short delay." This is not an acceptable answer and demonstrates a disdain for the Senate's role as a house of review. Why has it taken six months to get an answer to a simple question from ACIAR that no other agency or department has been as difficult about?
