Mr Tattersall: As Ms Peak mentioned, the 2023 MOU still is in place and is guiding our cooperation with Kiribati. In relation to policing and security cooperation, we've got a broad based program of cooperation that moves across policing, as well as cooperation through Home Affairs, Border Force and Defence. We've supported the Kiribati Police Service extensively over recent years, including delivering a second Guardian class patrol boat in July 2024. There are extensive infrastructure works underway, including a new police barracks, which we're expecting to be completed in quarter 3 2026, and then a headquarters building, which we're expecting to be completed in quarter 4 2027, as well as assistance with the Kiribati Police Service's radio network. The AFP continues to deliver police training to the Kiribati Police Service in addition to that. Senator COLLINS: In country? Mr Tattersall: Correct. Senator COLLINS: Is that the second Guardian class patrol boat? Mr Tattersall: To Kiribati, yes. Senator COLLINS: We've got Australian personnel on there as well? Mr Tattersall: There are defence personnel in country supporting the operations of those vessels, yes. Senator COLLINS: What's our diplomatic footprint in the country at the moment? Senator Wong: In Kiribati or across the- Senator COLLINS: In Kiribati. Mr Tattersall: I don't have those numbers with me. I'll have to take that on notice.
