Question

Senator BARBARA POCOCK: It's the same criteria for both. Thank you. The requirement that all former staff, including contractors, refrain from working or advising on a DFAT contract or grant where they were substantially involved in design, preparation, appraisal, review and/or daily management while at DFAT appears to apply in perpetuity after their separation from DFAT. Can you confirm whether I've understood that correctly? Ms Casson: No, we have some time limitations on that that are different between SES and non-SES. We have 12 months prior to separation from DFAT or nine months after separation from DFAT, depending on the level. Obviously, the Lobbying Code of Conduct also has a distinction for SES and non-SES staff. We can provide some information to you on notice about that.
