Senator SHARMA: That was all on that topic. I now want to ask about the 2026 World Aquatics water polo world cup finals that are being hosted in Sydney in July with participation of Russian and Belarusian national teams. Dr Hirst: We were disappointed that World Aquatics allowed Russia to re-enter the federation and be able to participate in the world cup. Our view is that all international federations should follow the IOC model here and that the Russian state should not be able to participate. Senator SHARMA: Have we made those views known? Dr Hirst: We have. Senator SHARMA: What is the governing body? It's World Aquatics; is that right? Dr Hirst: Yes. Senator SHARMA: How did we make those views known? Dr Hirst: I'll take that on notice.
