Question

With reference to the Perry Harvey Jetty, a valued community asset for fishing, access and tourism, and noting key infrastructure has been removed due to safety concerns and there is no funded plan for replacement with Council citing financial constraints— Will the Minister advise (a) whether the Government will commit funding to repair or replace infrastructure at the Perry Harvey Jetty, including access stairs and platforms, (b) what State funding programs or grants are available to support maintenance or upgrades of ageing marine infrastructure, (c) whether the Minister will work with Cassowary Coast Regional Council to secure State or joint State/Federal funding and (d) whether targeted assistance will be provided to ensure critical community access infrastructure is not lost due to council funding constraints?
